Street Sweeping
Keeping our streets clean is an important part of maintaining a healthy and beautiful community. The City of Loveland’s Street Sweeping Program helps remove dirt, sand, leaves and debris from roadways to keep neighborhoods looking their best while protecting local waterways.
Street sweeping improves safety for drivers, bicyclists and pedestrians by clearing loose material from the roadway. It also plays an important role in protecting the environment. By removing debris before it washes into storm drains, street sweeping helps reduce pollutants entering the Big Thompson River and other local waterways.

How residents can help
Residents play an important role in making street sweeping effective. You can help by:
- Moving vehicles from the street on scheduled sweeping days when possible
- Keeping tree branches trimmed away from the curb line
- Avoiding placing yard debris or trash in the street
These small actions allow sweepers to reach the curb where debris collects, helping crews clean streets more thoroughly.
