Vector Disease Control International, a private contractor, operates the seasonal mosquito management program for the City of Loveland. By contracting with one of the country’s premier mosquito control consultants, City personnel are freed up to perform other duties at a net cost savings to the City.

  • This program is funded via a $0.40 per month fee assessed to all Loveland dwelling units. For more information on the program, please visit Vector Disease Control International's website.
  • Spraying is only conducted after the traps meet a designated threshold. To receive notification prior to spraying in your area, or to request the Vector team to shut-off the spray machine while passing your residence, please fill out the Colorado Request Form found on the Vector website or contact them at (970) 278-9977.
  • The Loveland spray schedule is listed under Larimer County.

Stop the Bite with the 4D's:

  • DRAIN any standing water in your yard weekly (like in wheelbarrows, buckets and other places).
  • DRESS yourself with long-sleeved shirts, pants and light weight items when heading outdoors.
  • DEFEND yourself from mosquitos by applying insect repellent.
  • DAWN or DUSK, limit your time outdoors (this is when mosquitos are most active).
