The Loveland Police Department typically offers a 10-week Citizen Academy each fall, with evening classes held once a week between September - November. This academy is designed to provide a behind-the-scenes look at the Loveland Police Department. Topics include Patrol Operations, Investigations, Forensics, SWAT, K-9, Victims Services, and many more; intended to provide opportunity for interactive engagement between our police employees and community members.

Due to the adult content of some of the presentations, we ask that participants: be 18 years of age and older, live, work or volunteer in the City of Loveland, have no felony convictions, no significant or recent misdemeanor convictions, successfully complete a background check including local, State, and National police records, are willing to complete a Waiver of Liability and commit to attend all of the sessions.
