Barnes Complex Batting Cages

The Barnes Complex Batting Cages are northern Colorado’s most complete outdoor batting cage facility, featuring three slowpitch softball stations, and two softball & two baseball stations with three speeds to choose from! The cages may be used for 20-pitch increments, or rented for half-hour or hourly rates.

2025 - the batting cages are closed for the season, thanks for a great season and we will see you in April 2026!

Hours

Monday through Thursday	5:15 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Saturday	11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Sunday	11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Restroom Hours

Starting November 3, the flush restrooms will be closed for the winter season. An ADA accessible portable restroom will be available at fields 5 & 6.

Batting Cage Pricing Info

Tokens and rentals can be purchased on-site at the cages.
Each token provides 20 pitches.

Rates:

$2.00 per token (20 pitches)
$25.00 per half-hour cage rental
$40.00 per hour cage rental

Credit cards accepted.

Prices are subject to change.

Batting Cage Amenities

Three slow-pitch softball machines
Two softball machines with three selectable speeds
Two baseball machines with three selectable speeds

Batting Cage Policies

Proper gear/shoes required in cages
Bats are available on site
Batting helmets are required while using cages (supplied)
One person only permitted in each batting station at a time
Alcohol not permitted in the park or batting cages at any time
Weather Policy - The Batting Cages at Barnes Complex will not open unless the temperature is above 50 degrees and all equipment is dry.

Barnes Complex Fields

Fields one through four are located centrally in the complex, and are nearest to the north parking lot with access from the 405 S. Cleveland Avenue address.

Fields five and six are located on the west side of the complex, and are nearest to the west parking lots with access from the 700 S. Railroad Avenue address.

Fields seven through ten are located at the south end of the complex, and are nearest to the south parking lot with access from Highway 287 at the 195 Old Fairgrounds Drive address.

These ballfields are used primarily for internal programming (City of Loveland Adult Athletics Softball Leagues ) and practices for outside user groups during the week, and for tournaments or special events on weekends.

Barnes Complex Rules & Regulations

Bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates and other personal wheeled devices are not permitted inside the complex.
Only authorized motor vehicles are allowed.
Smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited within the complex.
Alcoholic beverages are not allowed anywhere within the park boundaries, including the complex, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
Open flames, grills, space heaters, and similar devices are prohibited.
Entry into the complex is limited to groups or individuals with a valid reservation through City of Loveland Parks & Recreation. For reservation inquiries, please call 970-962-2445.

Dogs Welcome!

To maintain a positive atmosphere for players, spectators, and pets alike, we ask that dog owners follow these rules:

Dogs must be leashed and under control at all times. Please ensure your pet is well-behaved and does not display aggression toward people or other animals.
Owners are responsible for picking up after their pet and properly disposing of waste.
Dogs are not allowed on the field of play or in dugouts. Please keep your furry friends in spectator or outlying areas only.

If a pet is found in violation of these rules, the owner will be asked to remove their pet from the premises.
