Parks in Loveland, Open to Public Use
The City of Loveland Parks and Recreation Department maintains a variety of parks throughout the community—from neighborhood green spaces and scenic corridors to large parks with restrooms, playgrounds, and gazebos, shelters, or pavilions that may be available for reservation. Some parks are also open to the public but are maintained by homeowners' associations (HOAs).
The table below lists which park shelters are reservable or non-reservable. Please note that even if a shelter is non-reservable, other amenities at that park—such as athletic fields or courts—may still be available for reservation.

Splash Pads and Water Feature
We are proud to offer 7 day splash pad access for the 2026 season, however the current drought conditions will have some limitations to these systems that use potable water as a “one-time use”. For water conversation purposes, the Fairgrounds Park and Loveland Sports park splash pads will have a staggered operating schedule with both operating Friday through Sunday. We will begin services during the Kids to Parks Day weekend (Friday May 15 through Sunday, May 17), then resume our regular season operations from Memorial Day weekend through the Labor Day weekend holiday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM. See below for the schedule. Temporary closures may occur without notice due to repairs and/or adverse weather conditions.
- Fairgrounds Park splash pad (Open Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Loveland Sports Park splash pad (Open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Mehaffey Park playgrounds water feature (Open 7-days a week)
Please note further water restrictions may affect this schedule as the season progresses.
