Parks in Loveland, Open to Public Use

The City of Loveland Parks and Recreation Department maintains a variety of parks throughout the community—from neighborhood green spaces and scenic corridors to large parks with restrooms, playgrounds, and gazebos, shelters, or pavilions that may be available for reservation. Some parks are also open to the public but are maintained by homeowners' associations (HOAs).

The table below lists which park shelters are reservable or non-reservable. Please note that even if a shelter is non-reservable, other amenities at that park—such as athletic fields or courts—may still be available for reservation.

For details about each park, including amenities and reservation options, click the links in the table below.

2026 Park Operating Season

Park operations for 2026 are listed below with opening/starting and ending/closing dates.

Park Restrooms

All park restrooms open for the season on Monday, March 30th with an estimated seasonal closure date of Monday, October 26th.  Restrooms will be open 7:00 AM to 9:00 PM seven days a week, however temporary closures may occur without notice due to repairs and/or adverse weather conditions.

ADA accessible portable restrooms will be available at the following parks during the same restroom start and end dates.

Drinking Fountains and Jug Fillers:

All park drinking fountains and jug fillers, both building mounted and stand alone, will be operational for the season on Monday, April 20th and ending early October, however, temporary closures that may occur without notice due to repairs and/or adverse weather conditions.

Splash Pads and Water Feature

We are proud to offer 7 day splash pad access for the 2026 season, however the current drought conditions will have some limitations to these systems that use potable water as a “one-time use”. For water conversation purposes, the Fairgrounds Park and Loveland Sports park splash pads will have a staggered operating schedule with both operating Friday through Sunday.  We will begin services during the Kids to Parks Day weekend (Friday May 15 through Sunday, May 17), then resume our regular season operations from Memorial Day weekend through the Labor Day weekend holiday 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.  See below for the schedule. Temporary closures may occur without notice due to repairs and/or adverse weather conditions.

Please note further water restrictions may affect this schedule as the season progresses.
