ANNOUNCING THE 2026 CITY NATURE CHALLENGE
Join the City of Loveland and over 500 cities around the world for a global BioBlitz to document as many local wild animals, plants and fungi as possible in only four days! The City Nature Challenge is a playful quest to see which city can document the most species, in support of scientific research and biodiversity conservation. From April 24 to April 27, 2026, use the iNaturalist app to capture photos and recordings of wild flora and fauna and contribute valuable data.
Loveland Public Library and Open Lands and Trails (OL&T) are teaming up to make the 2026 City Nature Challenge a community event that everyone can participate in.
