We have dedicated free-weight space and two complete lines of circuit machines (True & TechnoGym) and additional Free Motion equipment.

If you are new to training or have not trained in over one year, this is a great start! Our trainers will work to inspire and encourage you to develop healthy habits and effective workouts. Package includes one 1-hr and two 30-min sessions. Valid for one package per person. 3 sessions: $120.

Innovative bike features allow for the most accurate power meter, easy adjustments for perfect fit and trackable workouts. This bike is great for beginners to elite athletes and allows you to maximize your workout based on your own fitness level. DROP-IN CLASS DESCRIPTIONS
20/20/20 Experience a fun high energy class with 20-minutes of heart-pounding cardio, 20-minutes of versatile strength training, and end with a 20-minute relaxing stretch session. Every week brings a fresh new mix to keep you motivated!
Athletic Barre designed to effectively burn out each muscle group head to toe with tempo training and targeted isolation exercises. This is low impact totally body low impact strength training class with an emphasis on core, hips and glutes.
BARREFusion is a low-impact, total body workout inspired by ballet. It offers a unique approach to barre training with cardio bursts and signature fuses. This fusion format offers all the benefits of rhythmic movement, high repetition strength work, athletic dance moves in an easy -to -learn, fun- to -take barre class.
Butts, Guts & More is a total body workout with an emphasis on lower body & core training. Get ready for a 45 min result-driven workout that will get you stronger & work your entire core.
Flexible Strength Combines yoga positions with dynamic movement to build strength, stamina, balance and flexibility. Best suited for those with previous instruction in physical alignment, physically fit and without current injuries.
Group Cycling is one of the most effective and motivating group exercise classes on our schedule! Allows for a variety of ages and levels. Arrive 15 min early for first session.
Hatha &Vinyasa Yoga connects your breath to the flow to improve posture and build core strength. This is a slow to moderate paced flow class with a focus on breath to movement.
Interval Cardio Aerobics A combination of step training, hi-low aerobics and strength and flexibility exercises all packed into one workout. Just what you need to energize your day!
Joy Thru Movement is a serious of 19 Qi Gong movements and 1 pose that circulate and balance our internal energy. This moving meditation improves balance, reduces stress and anxiety. This practice also improves emotional physical and spiritual health.
Meditation (Guided) meditation and relaxation can enhance memory and learning, decrease feelings of stress and anxiety and improve blood pressure, back pain and sleep quality.
Pilates Based on Joseph Pilates’ classical method, this class improves flexibility, strength, posture and alignment to achieve body symmetry. Ideal for all fitness levels with both modifications and amplifications.
Pilates Plus Improve core and postural muscle strength and endurance using Bender Ball and Bender Barre methods, resistance bands, fitballs and other apparatus. Increase muscle and joint mobility and improve blood flow, coordination and balance. Learn active stretching, muscle activation and release techniques.
Power HIIT: Torch calories & push your workout to the next level by combining intervals of power & strength.
Power Toning is one of the fastest ways to get in shape. With a combination of great body sculpting routines, work every major muscle group in the body. Strengthen, tone and increase flexibility using weights, bands and balls. A great class for beginners to experienced exercisers.
Stability & Core Engage in standing and mat (floor) exercises to improve your balance, strengthen core and increase flexibility. Learn functional exercises using stability and medicine balls, weights and other exercise equipment to improve core strength, endurance and stability. You must be able to exercise on the floor.
Step is a medium impact cardio activity that ensures you will meet your step goal each day. Classes vary in the level of choreography. All instructors offer various options for different levels of intensity.
Step & Strength A fun total-body workout providing a combination of both cardio and resistance training. Class begins with easy-to-follow, yet intense step aerobics segment followed by strength training.
Structure and Alignment Yoga A gentle class that focuses on stretching with proper alignment and easy movement.
Sweat, Pump & Crunch A combination of cardio blasts, strength exercises and core stability. You choose the intensity!
Yin Yoga A slower paced flow allowing time for mediative movement, deep stretches, and mind muscle connection.
Yoga Explore your body and mind with postures, breath and meditation. Emphasis is on alignment and self-awareness for safe practice. Develop and maintain strength, focus, flexibility and balance. Majority is taught on a yoga mat on the floor. You must be able to get down and up from your mat without assistance.
Zumba® Forget the workout and find yourself in shape. Zumba® classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before you know it, you'll be getting fit and energy levels will soar!
AQUA CLASSES
Aqua EzFlow** A water-based total body strengthening, balance/relaxation class through movement. The focus is on deep breathing/slow movement and is designed to improve balance, flexibility and core strength.
Aqua Deep Water This class is in the deep end of Winona Pool (summer only) and is designed to improve cardiovascular, muscle strength, core and flexibility. Belts/noodles are provided for flotation.
Aqua Fitness Water exercise increases flexibility and muscle strength and gives your cardiovascular system the workout it needs. It takes stress off joints and muscular skeletal system, yet works the muscles, heart and lungs. Classes contain cardio, strength and stretching components.
Aqua HIIT optimizes your workout time by utilizing a series of short, high intensity intervals designed to improve your cardio/strength and increase your metabolism. Class includes a warm-up, interval training section, strength work and cool down.
Aqua Zumba® Make a splash by adding a low-impact, high-energy aquatic exercise to your fitness routine. It blends the Zumba® philosophy with water resistance. There is less impact on your joints and the natural resistance means every step is more challenging & tones muscles.
River Walking** Water walking and full-body exercises including walking with and against the current in the Lazy River; builds strength, cardiovascular fitness and balance.
ACTIVE GENERATION CLASSES
**These classes are geared for participants age 62+: however, all ages are welcome to attend.
Better Balance** Seated and standing exercises to improve balance. Strengthen lower body muscles while increasing bone density. Reduce risk of falling. Stay independent!
Body Blast** Use bands, balls and weights to combine low impact cardio, balance challenges and functional movement for a total body workout.
Cardio Power** An advanced group exercise class designed for active adults who desire a safe and effective low-impact cardio workout. Easy-to-follow movements promote total-body conditioning to increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance. A variety of strength training options are offered to provide a well-rounded workout.
Chair Yoga is a modified version of yoga utilizing a chair for support making yoga more accessible to individuals with limited mobility and balance.
SilverSneakers® Classic** Seated/standing exercises to increase muscular strength, range of motion and activities for daily living.
SilverSneakers® Circuit** Standing upper-body strength work alternated with low impact cardio using a chair for support.
SilverSneakers® Yoga** Seated and standing yoga poses to increase flexibility, balance, and range of motion.
Zumba Gold® ** Zumba Gold® modifies moves and pacing for the active older adult and beginners of all ages. It's so much fun!

FAQ's: What can I expect?
How long is treatment time? 40 minutes on the LightStim LED Therapy Bed (20 min. on your back, 20 min. on your stomach), this includes 20 minutes for the Anti-Aging ProPanel. Anti-Aging ProPanel may be used alone as well.
What do I wear during treatment? It is important that all areas of your body being treated are fully exposed to the light and not covered by any clothing. You will lay directly on the LED Therapy Bed with a towel covering you.
How will I feel after treatment? Some report feeling energized, while others observe a sense of calm. Those who are in pain often notice distinct relief after only one treatment. As with any other healthy routines, these benefits are cumulative. We recommend three treatments per week for best results.
Who should not use LED light therapy? Although there are no known contraindications, if you are battling cancer or terminal illness, taking topical Retin-A or Accutane, or if you are pregnant, we advise getting approval from your health care professional prior to light therapy treatment. If you are on antibiotics or suspect you have skin sensitivity issue to light, please let staff know and they can perform a skin sensitivity test.
How do I try it for the first time? Schedule an intro session and a team member will provide a 1:1 orientation and allow you to try an abbreviated LED Bed & ProPanel treatment for a reduced rate.
Booking & Arrival: You can book treatments up to 14 days in advance online at LovGov.org/Webtrac or at the Chilson Front Desk.
- Please arrive a few minutes early to check in at the front desk and get upstairs to the room. Adherence to your reservation block is very important.
- Remove makeup and jewelry that may scratch the bed prior to treatment.
- Tanning bed style goggles are highly recommended. Bring your own, purchase a pair, or borrow a pair from the Chilson front desk.
Cancellation, No-Show Policy & Late Arrivals
- Cancellations must be made 24 hours in advance or a fee/visit will be forfeited.
- No-shows - if a reservation is made and you end up being a no-show, a visit will be taken off of your pass.
- Late arrivals may need to abbreviate treatment time if there is another session directly following.
Please be aware that Chilson is a recreation center and the treatment room is adjacent to (sometimes loud) cardio and weight areas.

The Science - what is it & how does it work?

Age Guidelines
- 14 years and older: unrestricted use of equipment.
- 12-13 years: Independent Use- Use of cardio bikes permitted. Use of weight equipment permitted upon completion of Lift Strong class (must wear wristband showing completion).
- 11 years and younger: Use of track only under direct supervision of someone 16 or older.

Parking is available in the lot at 405 S. Cleveland Ave. or in the lot near the pavilions where the annual farmers market is held on Railroad Ave.

Fitness Rules
- DO NOT use cell phone while on equipment
- Please use headphones if you bring a personal music device
- DO NOT reserve equipment with personal items for future use
- Wipe equipment when finished with wipes located throughout area; sweat towels are available at the check-in desk at no charge
- Weight equipment use - allow others to work in if doing more than one set
- Re-rack weights and other equipment after use
- Shirt and closed-toe shoes required
