Volunteer Opportunities at the City

Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the City of Loveland.

Volunteers are essential in Loveland to build the community we love.  Year after year, hundreds of volunteers lend their time, talent and energy to help make Loveland a beautiful and vibrant community where we all belong. The city offers a wide range of rewarding volunteer opportunities for individuals and groups, from one-time events to ongoing commitments. We invite you to explore all that Loveland has to offer.

We welcome volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.  Volunteers age 13 and younger must be accompanied by an adult and volunteers under the age of 18 will need a parent or guardian signature.

Volunteer Testimonials

  •  “I love volunteering for Loveland and do it for several reasons: Because I live here and want to share the amazing benefits of living here with others.   Allows me to use my knowledge of Loveland and area to improve or deepen the enjoyment of a vacation. Because there are so many ways to volunteer.  You can find a place and role that fit your personality and interests. Because it keeps me socially active and connected.  Great way to focus my retirement years/energies for something that is fun and gives back to my community. Volunteers are appreciated, listened to, and become an immediate member of "Team Loveland".  This has greatly increased my commitment to and appreciation of the area and residents.”  J. Whalen
  • Volunteering at the Rialto means much more to me as a newcomer to Loveland than just helping to preserve this historic theater and the great entertainment it provides.  It's about meeting your neighbors, making great new friends and feeling you are not only helping your community but actually becoming part of the community.  D. Crutchley

  •  Working with Michele and the City of Loveland provides a wonderful way to feel a purpose and to give back. The vibe of this group is good and Michele is very receptive to suggestions. In the end we are doing good things for the environment. As a student of Environmental Biology this is a wonderful feeling. I also enjoy weeding the Natural gardens with Kathy and learning about the native and non-native plants we see. H. Munoz
  • I enjoy my volunteer activities for a variety of reasons. They give me a chance to use the skills I and knowledge I have accumulated in the past as well as good excuses for learning lots of new stuff.  I also really like meeting new people and learning about them. E. Grimm
  • We all came to/returned to/remained in Colorado because of the great outdoors. As volunteers we help young and old learn and experience more of the beauties of the natural world that makes our lives special. F. Feinerman

  • I like volunteering for the City of Loveland because I feel useful and I can see the results of my helping out at the Rialto and the Museum.   D. Anderson
