The City of Loveland Transit (COLT) schedule for Route 1 (red line) and Route 2 (green line) and Peak Service Routes 4 and 5 will resume full-service next week. COLT operated these routes on a reduced schedule this summer, due to decreased demand and a shortage of available drivers. The City is now fully staffed for these routes. 

Routes 1 and 2 will return to running every 30 minutes instead of every hour on Aug. 17, and Peak Service routes will resume service on Aug. 20. Peak Service routes run an extra bus on Routes 4 and 5 for morning commuters and school students and operate from 7 to 10 a.m. on days that Thompson School District schools are in session.

About COLT 

COLT currently provides a base network comprised of seven fixed bus routes. Service frequency ranges from 30 to 60 minutes, including increased frequency during the morning that assists commuters and transit-dependent students. COLT services 165 bus stops that place 86% of residences and 68% of businesses within a quarter mile of a bus stop. Bus service operates Monday through Friday from 6:38 a.m. to 7:55 p.m. and Saturday from 8:38 a.m. to 5:55 p.m. COLT operates seven routes in the City and has transfer points to other communities in the region. For more information, visit lovgov.org/COLT. 

Project Funding 

COLT is funded through the City of Loveland General Fund (68%), Federal Transit Administration (27%), revenues from advertising and fare collection (3%), and the Colorado Department of Transportation (2%).
