At the April City Council retreat, staff shared an early look at the City’s financial outlook as planning has started for the 2027 budget.
Most City funds are in good shape, but the general fund has limited flexibility as street and facility maintenance needs continue to outpace available funding. Public Works has identified millions in critical facility projects and rising costs to maintain aging roads. Delaying maintenance only becomes more expensive over time. To remain stable long term, the City will continue reviewing possible revenue sources and service level adjustments, based on community needs.
Budget discussions, including an August City Council workshop, will guide future planning.
