Each year, hundreds of residents generously contribute their time, skills and energy to help make the City of Loveland a welcoming, beautiful and vibrant place where everyone belongs. With opportunities ranging from one-time projects to ongoing roles, there’s a way for everyone to get involved.
There are nearly 40 current opportunities listed in the online volunteer portal. Opportunities span nearly every corner of the city, including event support, Loveland Police and Youth Cadets, victim advocacy, Public Works, Open Lands and Trails, the Library, Museum, Rialto Theater, Youth Athletics, Adaptive Recreation and City boards and commissions.
Coaches are needed to help youth build skills, sportsmanship and confidence. Victim Advocates provide unbiased crisis support to those affected by crime. Stormwater marker volunteers help protect our waterways, while Rialto Theater volunteers support the performing arts. Adaptive Recreation volunteers offer leadership and encouragement to individuals with varying abilities.
Community members can also lend their voice by joining a City board or commission—no experience required. Board and commission recruitment is held twice a year: April 1 through May 1 and October 1 through October 31, but there may also be vacancies throughout the year.
Volunteering offers many benefits, including meeting new people, gaining experience, building confidence and leaving a lasting impact on the community. The City of Loveland welcomes volunteers of all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
