This month’s top five updates:

  • Willow Bend Park and Natural Area grand opening – The community came together on June 5 to celebrate the opening of Willow Bend Park and Natural Area. The park features Loveland’s first universally-accessible playground and 150 acres of open space, creating an inclusive environment for all to enjoy.
  • Flood Safety & National Recognition – City crews have already cleared over 10,000 feet of stormwater pipe and 80 cubic yards of debris in 2025. Thanks to this proactive work, Loveland was upgraded to Class 5 in FEMA’s Community Rating System, qualifying residents for a 25% discount on flood insurance.
  • Award-Winning Online Budget Book – Loveland received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for the 2025 online budget book. The interactive format earned top marks in multiple categories.
  • Events, Recycling & Rialto Fun – Celebrate summer with affordable movies at the historic Rialto Theater and explore fun for all ages. Plus, retire your U.S. flag respectfully at the Recycling Center. Save the date for the Passport to Power event on July 25 from 3–6 p.m. in downtown Loveland to mark 100 years of public power.
  • Home Efficiency = Cost Savings – Loveland Utilities offers rebates and programs to help lower your water and electricity use, including outdoor water rebates, HVAC upgrades, and a free sprinkler audit program called Slow the Flow.
