City of Loveland’s first Capital Improvement Projects Fair planned for May 30

Post Date:05/13/2024 4:00 p.m.

The City of Loveland will host its first Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) Fair from 4-6 p.m., Thursday, May 30 at the Beet Education Center, 201 E. 5th St. The event will showcase upcoming infrastructure projects from the City of Loveland’s Public Works, Water and Power, and Parks and Recreation departments.

The CIP Fair will feature displays, construction timelines, phasing information, and opportunities for attendees to engage with City staff. Each project will include budget-related details to help the public understand how infrastructure projects are funded across the City.

At the fair, attendees will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about Public Works’ US 34 and Taft Avenue Intersection Improvement Project, Garfield-Harrison's storm drain improvements, the HIP Street project downtown and more to enhance infrastructure and public safety.
  • Review Water and Power’s critical waterline improvements for the year like the 43rd Street 3.5 municipal gravity water tank and more.
  • Discover the latest update from Parks and Recreation including the Willow Bend Park Universal Playground and Natural Area, the Boise to Willow Bend Trail, Olde Course at Loveland Maintenance Facility and Namaqua to Wilson Trail.
  • Additional booths will include the North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization and the City’s Finance department with information about how capital improvement projects are funded and the City’s financial health.

"The CIP Fair aims to provide residents, businesses, and other stakeholders with an informed overview of what’s coming to Loveland this year and into the future,” said City Engineer Nicole Hahn. "This event represents a significant step forward in our commitment to transparency and community engagement. We encourage everyone to join us and learn more about these exciting projects planned for our City."
