The April 25 City Council Study Session has changed to a Loveland Urban Renewal Authority (LURA) meeting. The LURA meeting is at 6 p.m., Tuesday April 25, 2023, in City Council Chambers, 500 E. 3rd Street, with a Zoom participation option for public comment. The meeting will also be broadcast on Loveland TV, found at LovGov.org/TV or on Comcast channels 16/880 or PulseTV channel 16.
During the meeting, the LURA board will be presented with a resolution to approve four intergovernmental agreements concerning the sharing of tax increment for the proposed Centerra South URA plan. If approved, the Centerra South URA plan would proceed to final review, which is expected at the May 2 City Council Meeting.
Public hearings are scheduled for the May 2 City Council Meeting to remove land from the US34/Crossroads Corridor Urban Renewal Plan area and to form the Centerra South Urban Renewal Plan with the removed land.
On April 4, Loveland City Council directed staff to continue negotiations on the Centerra South URA that may rely on a provision of the state’s Urban Renewal Law known as “subsection (e)” if consent by all taxing entities cannot be obtained. Read more.
Since January 2023, staff representing the Loveland City Council and the LURA have been actively negotiating terms of the Centerra South project and discussing the creation of the proposed Centerra South URA plan.
