Little fossil explorers will have the opportunity to dig, discover, and imagine! We will read a book about fossils and learn new vocabulary words like “paleontologist.” Then, children will participate in a mini excavation activity using tools that promote fine motor development. They will also create their own imprint “fossil” with air-dry clay to take home. Books about fossils will be available to check out or read in the library, so caregivers can help expand their children’s knowledge about the topic. Recommended for ages 3–5 and their caregivers.
